VIDEDO

In agreement with the EFSP and under their patronage, we have chosen this form of support because it is the only one that guarantees enrollment in Nursery and Primary school courses, therefore it guarantees primary education, the foundation and basis for a future improve.

To consider that:

Our supporters will always be welcome guests at our village and to reach us they will simply have to worry about the plane ticket. We'll take care of everything else. There are no limits, both in the number of trips and in the length of stay. It is clear that everything will have to be planned with the Management of the Center but it will be very simple, clear and transparent as has always been our custom.

The minimum adoption is 10 Euros per month and includes school lessons and uniform but above all it includes teachers' salaries and maintenance costs of school facilities (water, bathrooms, maintenance and cleaning services as per the profile opposite).

Banking transactions with Kenya (and not only) have a cost, so we receive a little less than €10 but the money we send is still €10

The basic salary of teachers is €120 per month for the teacher and €250 for the Director   (we only pay 3 out of 12) while that of the service people (8) is €80 each. The other 9 teachers are paid by the Ministry of Education.

Karibu waives its share of management costs, by law, which would be a minimum of 20% of each donation .

The school operates every day and the teachers are always present. It seems obvious but in Kenya it is not. Often the teachers from public schools are absent or on strike and this is the reason why the community prefers to come to us, because the children are always looked after, from 8 in the morning until 4pm and the parents can work in peace. Our school is to all intents and purposes a "PUBLIC AND FREE" school and is called KIBORA PRIMARY SCHOOLS

The children up for adoption are those in kindergarten.

There is no written obligation but only a moral commitment to follow the child at least for the entire school year until the end of PRIMARY.
